Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply online for verification of marks, obtaining copy of their answer sheet and re-evaluation or re-checking of their answer sheet. It must be noted that if you want your copy re-checked again then you need to apply for all the three processes and submit fees for them separately.

CBSE Class 10 Compartment Exam 2020 Verification of Marks, Obtaining Answer Sheet Copy and Re-Evaluation Application Schedule

Verification of Marks: Apply between 14 to 15 October 2020 (₹500 per subject)

Obtaining Answer Sheet Copy: Application can be submitted from 23 to 24 October 2020 (₹500 per answer sheet)

Re-Evaluation: Apply online between 26 to 27 October 2020 (₹100 per question)

Difference between Verification of Marks and Re-Evaluation of Answer Sheet

During Verification of Marks, your answer sheet is not re-evaluated. It is checked superficially that marks awarded to you have been calculated correctly and examiner has evaluated all your answers. If discrepancies are found they are rectified and marks are awarded to students. In case marks increase, CBSE notifies student through a letter. Marks can increase or decrease as a result of verification. Even if one-mark decreases, it will be reflected and student will be given new marks sheet.

If marks don’t increase after verification, student needs to apply for obtaining copy of answer sheet. It will be provided online on CBSE portal. Students must obtain answer sheet copy if they want their copy re-evaluated.

After obtaining answer sheet copy, students can check for which answer they should have got more marks. Subsequently, they can challenge by applying online for re-evaluation. For challenging each question students need to pay ₹100. After applying for Re-evaluation, your answer sheet will be evaluated again.
