Improvement Exam Rules for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam
After declaration of CBSE Class 10 result 2020, many students are seeking
information about improvement exam to further improve their result. Central
Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) gives an opportunity to its students to
improve their result by appearing in one or more subjects in improvement
exam. Who and when can a student of CBSE Class 10 appear in improvement
Exam? What are the rules for appearing in improvement exam? We will discuss
these questions in this post.
Who can appear in CBSE Class 10 Improvement Exam?
Any Student who is not satisfied with his marks in one or more subjects
can appear in the improvement exam conducted by CBSE. Board does not
conduct improvement exam separately. It is conducted along with annual
examination.
Rules of CBSE Class 10 Improvement Exam | Eligibility for appearing in Improvement Exam
A student not satisfied with his or her Class 10 result can appear in
improvement exam in one of more subjects in the succeeding year only if he has not taken admission in higher classes. It
means students are not allowed to appear in improvement exam in the same
year in which they appeared in annual examination. For example, if a student has appeared in CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2020, he can appear in improvement exam only in 2021 and not in 2020. Also he must not have started studying in Class 11.
CBSE Class 10 Students can appear in improvement exam in one or two
subjects as private candidates. Those who want to appear in improvement
exam in entire subjects can appear in this exam as a regular student via
school.
Students appearing in a subject that involves practical, need to
attempt only theory of that subject, practical marks will be carried
forward from the preceding year.
Those students who sit in improvement of performance are given only
Statement of Marks reflecting obtained marks in main examination as well
as improvement examination.
A student appearing in improvement exam in one or more subjects cannot
appear in additional subject simultaneously.
