UPSC CAPF AC 2020 Exam Postponed? | UPSC Prelims 2020 New Exam Date
Due to ongoing lockdown
throughout the country, to prevent further spread of Coronavirus, several
entrance exams have been postponed so far. Whether it is NEET 2020, JEE Main
2020 or Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams conducted by CBSE, ICSE or other state
boards, every exam has been postponed. It seems, now the table has turned towards
exams conducted by UPSC.
Union Public Service
Commission (UPSC) has deferred the release of UPSC CAPF (AC) 2020 notification
till further notice which was earlier scheduled to be released on 22 April
2020. It has further increased speculations that UPSC might postpone CAPF AC
2020 examination amid countrywide lockdown to fight against the Covid-19
Pandemic.
The lockdown in India has
already been extended till 3 May 2020. UPSC is expected to come out with
official announcement regarding CAPF AC 2020 on or after 3 May after weighing
the prevailing conditions in the country. But, looking at the delay in the
release of notification, postponement of UPSC CAPF (AC) 2020 seems more likely.
As per the UPSC Exam
Calendar, UPSC CAPF (AC) 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on 9 August 2020.
Last date to apply for CAPF (AC) 2020 was earlier scheduled to be on 12 May
2020. All are likely to change after the latest decision of UPSC.
UPSC Civil Services
(IAS) Prelims 2020 New Exam Date
Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO
and DoPT, has already given a statement to India Today that UPSC is likely to
release new exam date of UPSC Civil Services on or after 3rd May
2020, after assessing the conditions throughout the country.
Looking at the
extent of spread of Coronavirus and blanket ban on all major public transport
networks, it is unthinkable to even discuss conducting exams in this
tough time. Safety of every citizen of the country is currently the first
priority for the government. Hence, Postponement of UPSC Civil Services Prelims
2020 is also more likely. But, one should wait until the official announcement
by UPSC.
