BIT Sindri Admission Process 2024

BIT Sindri is one of the most popular Engineering Colleges of Jharkhand. Admission in BIT Sindri was earlier used to be carried out based on entrance exam conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) – JCECE. But things have changed 2019 onwards.  State level entrance exam for Engineering Colleges has been scrapped.


JCECEB has already released an official notification stating that from 2019 onwards, board will not conduct JCECE for admission into any engineering college of the state. It does not mean that JCECE has been completely scrapped. In fact, JCECE 2023 application form has already been released but it is for Agriculture course and not for Engineering.

Admission in BIT Sindri
When JCECEB will not conduct any entrance exam for admission in the engineering colleges of Jharkhand, who will do the job? JCECEB has made it clear that admission in the engineering colleges of Jharkhand will be now done on the basis of JEE Main merit list. JEE Main is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) twice every year. However, counselling for the same will be conducted by JCECEB for admission in the engineering colleges of Jharkhand.

Admission in BIT Sindri in 2024 in B.Tech Course will be done through JEE Main 2024 merit list. Counselling will be conducted by JCECEB, as earlier, based on JEE Main result.

UPSC Prelims 2024 postponed due to Lok Sabha Election

  Election commission of India has declared the dates for Lok Sabha election 2024. The general election will be conducted in seven phases throughout the country. UPSC Prelims 2024 was earlier scheduled to be held on 26 May 2024. The preliminary examination was falling in the midst of the last two phases of Lok Sabha election.
