BCECE for Engineering Colleges of Bihar Scrapped

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2019 has been scrapped. BCECEB has announced on its official website that it will not conduct BCECE 2019 from this year onwards. The state government has also given its nod to this decision of the board. A notification has already been released in this regard on 9 January 2019.

As per the notification released on the official website of BCECE, admission in all Engineering and Medical Colleges of Bihar will be carried out based on the Merit List released by the NTA of JEE Main and NEET. It should be noted that, NTA is going to conduct JEE Main 2019 and NEET 2019 from this year onwards. Earlier, CBSE used to conduct both of these two entrance examinations.

BCECEB has now confined itself only as a counselling conducting body. It means, post the declaration of JEE Main and NEET result, it will release notification for counselling on the official website of BCECE. Qualified students need to register on the website. Based on the Merit List, students will be called by BCECEB for counselling.

Last date to fill Application form of NEET 2019 has already passed. NTA will be conducting JEE Main twice this year. While, NEET will be conducted only once. Students who are interested to get admission in Veterinary College of Bihar should also appear in NEET.

The new provision will surely help students. Now they need to concentrate on only one national level entrance exam. As NTA will be conducting JEE Main twice, they will get two chances to improve their score and climb the ladder in Merit List. NEET will also be conducted twice by NTA in coming years.
