Exam Pattern of FTII, SRFTI JET 2019

Two premier Film Institutes of the country- Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), merged their respective entrance exams and jointly conducted first common entrance exam as JET in 2018. What is the exam pattern of FTII and SRFTI JET 2019? We will discuss it in this post.

Exam Pattern of FTII, SRFTI JET 2019
FTII and SRFTI, under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, are set to conduct Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2019 again.

1)   Both film institutes will together constitute a committee that will look after the entire exam process.

2)   It must be noted that only JET will be conducted jointly by both institutes.

3)   FTII and SRFTI will conduct Orientation and Interviews separately.

4)   In FTII/SRFTI JET 2019, 50 objective questions will be asked. Candidates need to record their answer on an OMR sheet.

5)   Answer of 5 subjective questions should be attempted in Question-cum-Answer booklet.

Orientation and Interview
Based on performance in JET 2019, shortlisted candidates will be called for Orientation and Interview. Interview letters will be sent to shortlisted candidates directly by the institutes. Criteria for shortlisting can vary depending on courses. Hence, go through the prospectus carefully.

Admission
Selection of candidates for admission will be done based on JET scores and performance in the Orientation and Interview conducted by FTII and SRFTI separately.

Reservation

15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST candidates, 27% for NC-OBC (Non-Creamy layer OBC) and 5% for PwD. For details, go through the prospectus.
