Get IGNOU Digital Study Material on IGNOU e-Content Android App


Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched an android app i.e. ‘IGNOU e-Content’ to help millions of its students all across the country in accessing digital study material for different courses. In its bid to promote adoption of digital study material over physical study material, recently IGNOU announced to waive off 15 percent fee of students opting for the former. Earlier, students could access digital study material only by visiting e-Gyankosh. Now they can get IGNOU digital study material also on IGNOU e-Content android app. It will enable them in accessing study material for different courses anytime and anywhere. Now they don’t need to wait for months for the arrival of physical study material. Students, who have taken admission in July 2018 session, can opt for only digital study material and they will get 15 percent fee refund.


IGNOU e-Content’ app is the official mobile app of IGNOU. Currently, it is only available on android platform. It can be used on smartphones and tablets. It will help approx 30 million IGNOU students in accessing their digital study material at their convenience.

IGNOU aims to provide Digital Learning Environment to millions of its students of different courses through this app. Instant availability of entire study material will help students a lot. The app has already been received well by its users on Play Store. The launch of this app will further encourage students to opt for digital study material.
