New Question Pattern of Class 12 Bihar Board Exams
BSEB came up with a major change in the question paper pattern for both Matric (class 10) and Intermediate (class 12) exams. More than 60 percent students had failed to clear class 12 Bihar board exams in 2017. The new pattern has been brought to boost the performance of students. With the introduction of objective questions even in Arts stream along with Science and Commerce, better results can be expected this time. In this post, the new question paper pattern of class 12 or intermediate exams has been discussed.
Number of MCQs, Short and Long answer type Questions
From annual Bihar board exam 2018 onwards, theory paper of all subjects will contain MCQs or 1-mark objective questions carrying 50 percent marks. A 70-marks theory paper like Chemistry will have 35 MCQs, while a 100-marks paper like Mathematics will contain 50 MCQs. Similarly, number of short and long answer type questions will also vary in different subjects. (Also Read: New Pattern of Class 10 Bihar Board Exams)
A table has been given below for each group of subjects. Each table indicates number of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions), SQs (Short answer type Questions) and LQs (Long answer type Questions) in different groups of subjects.

Marks Distribution in Language Papers of 100 Marks
For language papers like Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi, Urdu, Persian, Arabic and Bengali, marks distribution will be as follows-

In a theory paper of 100 marks, 8 long answer questions will be asked, you need to answer any 4 of them. In a theory paper of 70 marks, 6 long answer questions will be asked, you must answer any 3 of them.
