How to Prepare Chemistry for NEET?
In NEET, 45
questions are asked in Chemistry which carry 180 marks. Good
performance in this subject can actually cement your place in a prestigious Medical
College of the country. Undoubtedly, it can be the most scoring subject in Medical Entrance Exams like NEET and AIIMS. In AIIMS, 60 questions are asked from this subject. Chemistry. How to Prepare Chemistry for NEET? Let us answer this
question.
Why Chemistry is a scoring subject?
Chemistry is sub-divided into Physical, Organic and Inorganic
Chemistry. On most occasions, at least 13 questions are asked
from each sub unit. Too many direct questions are asked from Inorganic
Chemistry and if you learn these chapters properly, can answer them easily.
But, most students find it boring as it requires lots of memorizing work and
hence ignore it completely.
Physical and Organic Chemistryrequire regular practice. Several students have successfully scored 180 out of
180 marks in AIPMT in past few years. An average student can also answer at
least 35 out of 45 questions in this subject, provided he studies Chemistry
couple of hours daily. (ALSO READ: NEET 2017: Application Form, Exam Pattern, CUT-OFF and Eligibility)

Important chapters in Chemistry for NEET
Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium,
Electrochemistry and Coordination Compounds are very important chapters. These chapters should
be prepared properly. For preparing Physical Chemistry, solve 5-10 numerical
problems daily.
Surface Chemistry, Metallurgy, Biomolecules, Polymers and Chemistry in
Everyday Life are often ignored. Often 5 to
6 questions are asked from these chapters. Hence, these chapters also require
proper attention. Organic Chemistry should be prepared thoroughly as
each chapter is very important.
In Inorganic Chemistry, p-block is very vast. If you cannot
cover entire chapter, prepare at least Group 13 and 14 Elements in proper
manner. Often 2-3 questions are asked from d-block elements. Give
