60 Percent Objective Questions in Class 12 Bihar Board Exams
Recently the chief
minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi
made an important announcement regarding the pattern of class 12 Bihar
Board Exams. He declared that from 2015 the question papers of class 12
Bihar Board Exams will contain 60 percent of objective questions.
Students were demanding it from several months and finally state government has
accepted their proposal. Why Bihar government wants to change the
pattern of Board Exams? What is the new Question Paper Pattern of Bihar Board
Exams? What impact the new pattern of question paper will have on the
performance of students? Let us try to find the answers of these questions
below.
In recent years it was
observed that the performance of students in class 12 Bihar Board Exams declined
significantly. Last year in some cases it was seen that though some students
successfully cracked Engineering entrance examination but
could not get qualifying marks in the Intermediate exam conducted by the
Bihar Board. Hence pressure was exerted on the state government from several
students unions to make some necessary changes in the pattern of the state
board exam.

Now when the question
paper will contain 60 percent of objective questions then it will certainly
help students to score higher in the class 12 or Intermediate exam. According
to the declaration of state CM the question paper of class 12 Bihar Board Exams will now have 60
percent objective and 40 percent of subjective questions.
Earlier, only subjective questions were asked in the Intermediate exam which
resulted in the poor result. Now securing higher marks in board exams has
become vital to be eligible to sit in the JEE
Advanced to get admission in IITs.
Earlier when students
used to appeal against lower marks obtained in the board exam then only
re-totalling of marks was done by the Bihar Board. According to the new rule now
after receiving an appeal, re-checking of the entire answer sheet of the
candidate would be done. Many students who are going to appear in the class 12
Bihar Board Exams in this academic session have welcomed these changes made by
the state government.
