Are NCERT Books Important for Class 12 CBSE Board Exam?



Which is the best book to prepare for Class 12 CBSE Board Exam? Is it necessary to solve sample paper for the preparation of board exam? These are the common questions which are asked frequently by the students appearing in Class 12 Board Exam conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). It is a very well known fact that if you are going to appear in the Class 12 CBSE Board Exam then you must go through NCERT books thoroughly. Are NCERT books really important for class 12 board exam? Today CBSE has become one of the highly recognized institutions which conducts exams like Class 10 and 12 board exams, AIPMT, JEE Mains, etc in different countries of the world. Securing good marks in the board exam is vital if you want to take admission in reputed educational institutions for higher studies. The syllabus prescribed by the CBSE for class 12 board exam is entirely based on NCERT. Often some students prefer to read other reference books ignoring NCERT which ultimately leads to poor result. 


If you will go through the last 10 years question paper of class 12 CBSE board exams, you will find that almost all questions have been asked directly or indirectly from NCERT. Hence you must not ignore NCERT books ever while preparing for CBSE board exam. If you want to obtain over 90 percent in the board exam then go through NCERT on a regular basis. Every line of NCERT is very important for the class 12 CBSE board exam. Solve all the exercise questions given at the end of different chapters. You will definitely get desired result in the board exam.



In the class 12 board exam conducted by CBSE often 1-mark questions create problem for the students. They get confused while solving these twisted questions and commit mistakes. 1-mark questions test your basic concepts and to a certain extent they will also check whether you have read NCERT books thoroughly or not. These are the questions that will stop you from getting 90 plus marks in any subject. Hence try to grasp every important point of NCERT books. In Biology give some time to diagrams which are also very important.
 


Often students complain that they find it really difficult to go through NCERT books especially of Physics line by line. In that situation you can take the help of different reference books but by doing that you must ensure that you are not leaving any topics gives in the NCERT book. Prepare notes of the chapters that you find really difficult. NCERT books of Chemistry and Biology are very well written and if you want to secure over 95 marks in these subjects then go through NCERT carefully. If you are going to appear in class 12 CBSE board exam and want to get over 90 percent in the exam then look to complete NCERT books entirely first and then try to solve different sample papers.

UPSC Prelims 2024 postponed due to Lok Sabha Election
