150 MBBS Seats Increased in Jharkhand
Recently Indian
government accepted the proposal of health ministry to increase 10,000 MBBS seats in the different
government Medical Colleges of India. This news has brought happiness on the faces
of millions of students who are aspiring to become doctor. Nowadays it has
become really difficult to get Medical education in the country. Private
Medical Colleges are charging heavy amount of fees. On the other hand
government has failed to open required number of government Medical Colleges in
the country.
With the latest
decision of the Indian government to increase 10,000 MBBS seats, states like
Jharkhans and Bihar have also been rewarded. In Jharkhand 150 MBBS seats will be increased after this decision. Currently
there are three government Medical Colleges i.e RIMS, PMCH and MGM in the
state. In RIMS there are 150 MBBS
seats while PMCH and MGM have 100 MBBS seats each.
Now there are 500 MBBS
seats in Jharkhand. According to some media reports, 500 MBBS seats will be
increased in Bihar too. Jharkhand has become the member of AIPMT 2014 and hence
admission in different Medical Colleges of the state will be carried out based
on AIPMT result. Jharkhand will not conduct its own state Medical entrance examination
this year.
