Indian government will very soon file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict on NEET. The top court of India scrapped NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) last month on 18 July 2013 telling that Medical Council of India (MCI) has no right to implement common Medical Entrance Exam in the country. The court had also added that MCI notification for NEET violates Articles 19, 25, 26, 29 and 30 of the Indian constitution. According to the top court of India, NEET violates the rights of States and Private Medical Colleges of India.

On 18 July 2013, a bench of three judges headed by former chief justice of Supreme Court of India Altmas Kabir dismissed NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) and called it unconstitutional. The bench dismissed NEET which was proposed by MCI (Medical Council of India) and told that it interferes with the constitutional rights of State and private Medical colleges of India. NEET was conducted by CBSE this year.
